Spotlight, United States

Credico is a well-known global outsourced sales company. With offices in Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, and South Africa, Credico shares the success of this great organization with our team. We are fortunate to be comprised of an impressive, dedicated, capable team of deeply committed, skilled, and inspiring people who choose to lend their talents to our purpose every day. Like most Employee Spotlight campaigns, the goal is to highlight a team member for who they are and what they do. However, our goal is a little different; we’d like to share the global stage with people who call Credico their work home.

Our next featured employee is Andrew Cordero, National Account Manager at Credico (USA) LLC. He talks about gratitude, his days on the road, and taking new leaps.

What do you do at our company?
I’m a National Account Manager, working with 28 offices across Texas, Louisiana, and California. I spend a lot of time visiting offices and stores, helping everyone stay on track with their performance goals.

In my role, I serve as the liaison or conduit between our ISOs and a client, making sure we’re all aligned and set up for success.

What brought you to want to work at Credico?
Before joining Credico, I worked in the beverage sales industry in New York. I moved to Texas in 2021 and took on a hybrid sales and installation role with a national bathroom remodeling company. While both were great experiences, I was looking for a place to grow long-term, and I found that at Credico.

I found the Regional Account Manager role on LinkedIn, and even though the job description was a bit vague, my interview with Ian Horniacek sealed the deal. He saw my drive for more, and I appreciated how he views his team as more than just numbers. Finding out I’d be supporting a nationwide telecom program—with whom I had some call center experience back in 2017—made it feel like everything lined up perfectly. It was a leap into a new side of the telecom industry, but I’m really glad I went for it.

How long have you worked at Credico?
I’ve been with Credico for just over a year, starting in July 2023.

What has been your favorite project so far?
I had the chance to attend the new ISO seminar, and it was an awesome experience. Seeing the new owners in the room with our national consultants was great—you could feel the excitement. They weren’t just eager to soak up knowledge; they were really excited about networking, with all that new blood in one place. It felt like a freshman class, and watching them build bonds and camaraderie as they grow is rewarding, especially since running a business isn’t easy.

I’m looking forward to the next seminar.

Can you take us through a day in the life for you at Credico?
Most days, I’m on the road, conducting office visits in Texas, Louisiana, and California. I spend a lot of time reviewing KPIs with our ISOs, ensuring we’re aligned with client and campaign goals. I also do store visits to observe field activity and build relationships with store leadership. It’s a good mix of planning and hands-on support, which keeps things interesting and engaging.

What do you like most about working at Credico?
What I appreciate about working at Credico is the chance for growth and our focused and balanced leadership. Ian, our director, does a great job leading from the front. He gets the challenges we deal with in the field and balances work and life in a way that really resonates with me. Brett, our VP, also provides great insight during our Monday calls, which helps keep everyone on track and focused.

Their combined approach keeps us engaged and motivated to keep growing—professionally or personally- not just from a campaign perspective.

What would you like to ask our CEO?
I would love to know if the company today aligns with his original vision for Credico or if it’s evolved in ways he didn’t expect. I would also be interested to hear if what Credico has become matches what he thought it would be and how the journey has shaped that vision. I’m also curious to know some of the biggest challenges in making Credico what it is today.

Can you share the best career or life advice you’ve received?
The best advice I’ve been given is, simply put, don’t take anything for granted. Not everyone gets to wake up each day and make the most of it, so if you’re here, you’ve already won. I’ve learned that after approaching life that way, the universe works in your favor and, in some cases, gives you more than you ever expected—at least from my experience.

At the same time, finding ways to bring value to the table is important. Self-awareness plays a significant role here—knowing your strengths and keeping a realistic perspective helps you turn challenges into opportunities. Focus on stacking small wins, learning from setbacks, and using those lessons to grow.

How do you spend your time when you’re not working?
I love spending time with family, friends, and my girlfriend. Whether trying out new restaurants, hitting up a sporting or music event, or traveling just for fun, we’re always looking for new experiences to create memories. I also like to stay active, so I’m regularly at the gym and playing in a men’s baseball league in Austin on the weekends. When I’m not doing any of those things, I freelance as a recording, mixing, and mastering engineer for hip-hop and R&B-based artists.

If you could have dinner with anyone (and we mean anyone), who would it be and why?

It has to be Derek Jeter. Born and raised in New York and a lifelong Yankees fan, I’ve always admired how he led the team during their dynasty years. What really set him apart for me was his ability to push himself and his teammates, hold everyone accountable, and still perform at the highest level—even though he wasn’t the most talented player on the field. Jeter once said, “There may be people who have more talent than you, but there’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do,” I believe that. I’d love to sit down with him and understand the mindset and principles that helped him stay calm under pressure and achieve that kind of success. His ability to stay cool and composed in big moments was unmatched. I think there’s a lot I could take from his approach and apply it to my own life and profession.
