In celebration of all we have achieved in 2024, the Credico South Africa team enjoyed two unbelievable days at the amazing Sun City Resort, SA’s best holiday resort nestled in the heart of the Pilanesberg in the North West province. It was truly special to have everyone from around the country sharing a couple of days together, filled with fun and laughter.
Upon arrival, each member of the Credico SA team received goodie bags filled with gifts, including a new silky smooth golf shirt, a Credico T-shirt, a power bank to keep their devices charged up throughout the year, and an awesome set of JBL earphones. New name badges for the team have been well received and will certainly help us put faces to the names of the many new individuals who have joined the team throughout 2024. We look forward to seeing everyone wear them whenever they are on official Credico business.
After being welcomed with gifts, the teams took some time to get together, catch up with each other, unwind at the pool, or have lunch at one of the many restaurants.
That evening, everyone gathered at the Shebeen for dinner and the celebratory formalities, where Credico SA’s CEO, Peter van den Berg, shared some of the highlights of the year. Our company has grown to 119 staff members in South Africa, and since our Christmas in July, we have welcomed 10 new employees and celebrated five more promotions. Jacques Ellis also picked up his Five Years of Service award, and Theuns Bezuidenhout received his Ten Years of Service award. This longevity is a testament to Credico’s ability as a company to grow, build, and retain staff.
Congratulations to all the deserving recipients of our latest Certificate of Excellence awards: Sonja Ferreira, Gugu Legoale, Tshediso Tumeng, Thabiso Mokhoantle, Desiree Eysele, Pontso Mashegoane, Jami Pillay, Gary Collins, Wedaad Esau, Marilyn Chauke, Samantha Francis, Zamo Ntshulane, and Zoleka Madubula. Their hard work throughout the year has certainly not gone unnoticed as they continue to go above and beyond in all they do, each receiving a bonus!
And a special congratulations to our 2024 Employee of the Year, Senzo Mkhize. It has been great to see how he has grown in his responsibilities and his willingness to take on more within his department. He is always learning and always teaching. His exceptional hard work and dedication to the business are inspirational, and he received a bonus in recognition of this achievement!
All attendees also shared in adding their handprint to our canvases, and this creative artwork now hangs in the passage at the office. The rest of the evening was filled with vibrant music, a slide show depicting highlights of past events over the years playing on the big screen, playing pool, and enjoying delicious South African delicacies.
The next day, everyone spent some free time enjoying the African sun at the Valley of Waves, enjoying the fun rides and slides, a few cocktails, and just relaxing.
It has been an unbelievable year, and we look forward to again making 2025 our best year ever!
