Laughter, excitement and festive cheer filled the Indaba Hotel as more than 380 people, including employees and their families, came together for one of the most anticipated annual traditions, Credico South Africa’s Christmas in July.

Inspired by this year’s “Credico Kingdom” theme, the venue was transformed into a magical wonderland where castles, princesses and royal trumpets welcomed guests to a day of family fun, adventure and celebration. From the moment the Kingdom gates opened, families explored a variety of activities including face painting, storytelling, the Mad Hatter’s tea tent, treasure hunts, giant lawn games, putt-putt and craft stations, while children eagerly searched for hidden Royal Keys throughout the day.

One of the day’s most memorable highlights came with the sound of the First Royal Trumpet, announcing Santa Claus’ grand arrival. Escorted by two princesses, Santa led an excited procession of children and families through Wonderland to the Christmas tree, where gifts, laughter and lasting memories were shared.

Following the Royal Feast, guests gathered for the formal programme as Credico’s CEO, Peter van den Berg, made his royal entrance along the blue carpet before officially welcoming everyone to the Credico Kingdom. Reflecting on the company’s culture, he reminded guests that Credico’s greatest strength lies not in its achievements alone, but in its people.

“A kingdom is not built by buildings. It is not built by titles. It is not built by targets.

A kingdom is built by people, by trust, by kindness, by teamwork and by families.”

The afternoon celebrated Credico’s remarkable growth, with the company expanding from 52 employees in 2021 to 160 employees in 2026 — an impressive 200% increase in just five years. The occasion also welcomed 37 new employees who joined the business during the first half of the year and recognised nine employees who earned well-deserved promotions, highlighting Credico’s ongoing commitment to developing its people.

Peter also shared an encouraging business update, highlighting continued client growth, expanding campaigns and exciting new opportunities. While the business is currently tracking well to its annual target, one of the biggest announcements of the day was that employee bonuses will once again be paid in August, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.

A proud moment followed as Ryan Naicker and Senzo Mkhize were honoured for their five years of dedicated service, recognising their loyalty and valuable contribution to the organisation.

The celebrations concluded with the announcement of two lucky family prize winners. One through the Royal Family Passport draw and another for collecting the most Royal Keys. In keeping with a cherished Credico tradition, every family also received a gift as a token of appreciation for their continued support throughout the year.

As Peter concluded, “Looking around this room today, I do not just see colleagues. I see friendships. I see children making memories. I see families celebrating together. And I see the people who make Credico the company it is.”

Long live the Credico Kingdom.
